unit 2- p1

Industry specific

If you wanted to work in the I.T industry, the most important qualification an employee would need to have would be in technical knowledge because they would need to be able to know about all the technical things. Employees would need health and safety knowledge so they don't get electrocuted or if anything happens with the equipment. Also the employee's would need to know the working procedures so they know everything what would need to be done.

General

Employees would have to have interpersonal skills so they can easily talk to people, one on one, to give them advice and help them individually. The employee's would have to be able to clearly explain to the customers how to work computers and technology like that. Also if the customers had any questions or theories about the product the employee's would have to be able to answer them straight away.

Attitudes

An employee would have to have confidence when working in the i.t industry because they would have many customers wanting to ask questions before buying the products and the employee would have to have the confidence to speak to every one of them. They have to have self-motivation so they will be motivated to do things and that would also help others get motivated.

iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3

These two phones have many similarities but also many differences, the iPhone 5 has a case of metal versus plastic and hard lines against smooth curves. Also the iPhone models have a glass panel on the front and rear of the phone which gives it a hard and solid feel. However now the rear glass panel has been replaced with metal (aluminum). The previous iPhone 4 used steel for its metallic parts instead of aluminium. By using aluminium it lets the iPhone slim down to 112g and 7.6 thick. The Samsung galaxy S3 is a plastic phone with a removable rear battery cover. The plastic is very slim which becomes more noticeable when you remove the battery cover or try and access the removable SD memory card. The iPhone 5 has better features on it out of the two phones but the Samsung galaxy is cheaper.  On a iPhone there is a app store where you can download all different sorts of apps; from games to organization. On a Samsung there is an android store, this is just like the app store but for Samsung products.On any apple products( i Phones, i pads etc) you can use something called siri. Siri lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, make phone calls and more.

Samsung galaxy S3- from £391
iPhone 5- from £529

positive;
The protocol transmission i would use if i sent a photo would be Bluetooth  the positive things are that the they would get it for free, they do not have to pay for it which is good for them. Also, it is very secure so no one can hack into it, you can create a password for it. You can switch Bluetooth on and off so no one can find you when its off and just switch it on when you want it to be.

negative;
Bluetooth can only be used in a certain distance which is bad because you have to be near the person if you wanted too send them a data file. Bluetooth is also very slow so it will take a while to transmit your data across to others.

another way you can send a photo is by sending it via text message. This works by sending it through your network such as 02, orange and 3.

the mechanism that has been put in place for cyber-bullying is in school we have something called the bully line  this is a number that you call if you are being bullied in any kind of way. It means that names can be taken and something can be done about it, everything would be confidential so no-one should be scared of speaking up as they would think that they will be bullied more for telling on them.

the mechanism for communication with others is that because people would forget about their social life as they would be sat behind a scree, companies have introduced social clubs, for people to go to to make new friends and communicate with others. This is a good resolution because it will stop teenagers sitting in their rooms all day behind a screen.

the main differences are with a mobile is you cannot connect if you were in the middle of nowhere. You could send a picture message through 3G but it will cost and it comes out small. The best method is too send it through email and making your phone the hotspot because sending it through email does not cost and it comes out bigger than your phone. The final way of doing it is uploading it to your computer then transferring it through email. 3G is alot slower than wi-fi because with 3G you can only send 14.4 Mbps and with wi-fi you can send 54 Mbps at a time.

 This picture shows the amount of 3G coverage you get in places for the networks o2, orange, Vodafone, t-mobile and 3. The purple areas show where about in the united kingdom you can get this coverage. As you can see the further up north you go the less coverage for 3G you can get.

This image shows a typical city and how the broadband wi-fi hot spots are limited to different places, the coverage for wi-fi is smaller than the coverage for 3G because wi-fi only spreads out across a small area whereas 3G is able to spread over a larger area.
