unit 14- m2

the main differences are with a mobile is you cannot connect if you were in the middle of nowhere. You could send a picture message through 3G but it will cost and it comes out small. The best method is too send it through email and making your phone the hotspot because sending it through email does not cost and it comes out bigger than your phone. The final way of doing it is uploading it to your computer then transferring it through email. 3G is alot slower than wi-fi because with 3G you can only send 14.4 Mbps and with wi-fi you can send 54 Mbps at a time.

This picture shows the amount of 3G coverage you get in places for the networks o2, orange, Vodafone, t-mobile and 3. The purple areas show where about in the united kingdom you can get this coverage. As you can see the further up north you go the less coverage for 3G you can get.

This image shows a typical city and how the broadband wi-fi hot spots are limited to different places, the coverage for wi-fi is smaller than the coverage for 3G because wi-fi only spreads out across a small area whereas 3G is able to spread over a larger area.
